Towels are used to dry up after taking a shower. While buying bathroom towels doesn’t require in-depth analysis, there are some basic issues you need to consider.

Quality over Price

It’s much better to buy fewer but durable towels than several cheap ones. Poorly made towels will disintegrate with daily use. You’ll just end up buying new ones, costing more money.

Fabrics

Get towels that absorb well and are not harsh on the skin. For absorbency and quality, nothing beats cotton. There are many kinds of cotton, with Supima and Egyptian cotton representing the top of the line. These are also the most expensive.

However there are cheaper but no less durable cotton fabrics available. There are also silk bathroom towels. Silk in the weave bring an added touch of softness to the material.

Towel Density and Size

The higher the towel density, the better it will be able to absorb. The high end towels have a density of 800 grams per meter. The middle and low end types are less than this. Towels come in different sizes; make sure you don’t get one that is too small.

The average towel measures 27 x 50 inches to 30 x 56 inches. If you need something bigger, there are some towels measuring 30 x 56. There are also bath sheets measuring 33 x 66 inches to 40 x 70 inches.

Colors

You can choose the one you like or one that matches the bathroom theme. If your favorite color isn’t available, you can opt for complementary or neutral colors.

100% Organic Cotton

100% organic cotton towels may be more appropriate for people with sensitive skin. They are also recommended for those prone to skin allergies or irritation. The 100% cotton towels are made free from fertilizer and pesticides. Don’t use fabric softeners when you launder the towels. These softeners reduce the absorption capability of the towel.

How to Display Towels

You have several options. Roll the towels tight and place them in a wicker basket. You can also put an elegant chair in the bathroom and stack the towels there. A good alternative is a wine rack. Set the wine rack against the wall and put the towels in the hollows. Use different colors for maximum effect.

Aside from being useful, bathroom towels can do a lot to add interest and color in a bathroom. With a bit of planning, you can arrange these towels in eye-catching ways.
